Roads, Drainage and Ponds:

Not many homeowners know that neither the City nor the County is responsible for roads in Magnolia Point. Ok then, whom do they belong to? The answer is ---US--- each and every Magnolia Point homeowner! Why should that matter? Because our roads are private roads, as homeowners, we are responsible for their maintenance and upkeep. For this reason, road, drainage and pond repairs account for the largest dollar item on our MPCA budget and are accounted for in the monetary reserves line item.

At some point in time, our roads are going to have to be resurfaced, which will be expensive. Consequently, we are endeavoring to build up the monetary reserves through our quarterly dues so when the necessity arrives, there will be sufficient financials resources available to accomplish the task.

The maintenance and upkeep of our roads is an ongoing process. It is the charter of this committee to monitor the conditions of our roads and respond to homeowners’ concerns regarding any problem areas as quickly as possible. The committee will make recommendations to the Association Board, contracts will be issued and repairs will be initiated as needed in order to maintain the aesthetics and safety of the roads within our community.
